PPC Campaign Specialist
Seeking an innovative PPC specialist to help our hotel customer drive direct bookings
Location: Remote, aligned to Australian AEST hours
Engagement: Contract, with the potential to transition to permanent
About Roomstay
Roomstay is a hotel booking engine helping accommodation providers increase direct bookings, reduce reliance on online travel agencies and deliver better digital experiences for travellers.
We work at the intersection of travel, hospitality, e-commerce and performance marketing. With exciting growth plans ahead, we’re looking for an experienced PPC Specialist to help us attract high-intent travellers and turn demand into profitable hotel bookings.
About the role
We are seeking a mid-to-senior PPC Specialist who can take ownership of paid media campaigns across Search and Social.
You will plan, execute and optimise campaigns for hotels and accommodation providers, targeting travellers across different destinations, booking windows, seasons and stages of the customer journey.
This role requires more than generating clicks. You will be accountable for direct bookings, occupancy-driving demand, cost per acquisition and return on advertising spend.
What you’ll be doing
Plan, launch and optimise PPC campaigns across Google Ads, Microsoft Advertising and Meta Ads.
Manage campaigns for hotels, resorts and other accommodation providers across domestic and international markets.
Build strategies around destination searches, hotel and accommodation keywords, seasonal travel demand, events and high-intent booking terms.
Increase direct hotel bookings while reducing reliance on OTAs such as Booking.com and Expedia.
Manage brand, non-brand, competitor, remarketing, Performance Max, display and paid social campaigns.
Conduct keyword research, audience analysis and competitor reviews across the travel and accommodation market.
Optimise campaigns against metrics including bookings, revenue, conversion rate, cost per booking, CPA and ROAS.
Analyse the full booking funnel, from the initial search or ad interaction through to completed reservation.
Manage budgets and adjust spend based on seasonality, occupancy requirements, booking windows and campaign performance.
Write compelling, destination-led ad copy and collaborate on creative assets and hotel offers.
Develop campaigns promoting accommodation packages, special offers, direct-booking benefits and seasonal travel experiences.
Implement and oversee conversion tracking, remarketing audiences, attribution and analytics.
Design and run A/B tests across ads, audiences, landing pages and offers.
Prepare clear performance reports and present actionable recommendations to internal stakeholders and hotel partners.
Stay current with paid media developments, travel trends and changes in traveller search and booking behaviour.
What you’ll bring
Demonstrated experience managing successful PPC or paid media campaigns.
Advanced knowledge of Google Ads, Meta Ads Manager, Microsoft Advertising, GA4 and Google Tag Manager.
Strong understanding of e-commerce conversion funnels, online bookings and revenue-focused optimisation.
Experience with Performance Max, remarketing, audience segmentation, conversion tracking and attribution.
Strong analytical skills and the ability to turn campaign data into practical commercial decisions.
Confidence managing multiple campaigns, properties, destinations and stakeholder priorities.
Excellent written communication and ad copywriting skills.
The ability to work independently, manage a high workload and communicate proactively in a remote environment.
Google Ads certifications are preferred but not essential.
Experience in hotels, accommodation, travel, tourism, hospitality technology, booking engines or online travel agencies will be highly regarded.
How we work
This is a remote role with core working hours aligned to the Australian AEST time zone. We value flexibility and trust you to manage your workload, priorities and deadlines effectively.
You’ll stay connected with the team through Slack, Google Workspace and email. Clear communication, accountability and a proactive approach will be essential to your success.
Life at Roomstay
Roomstay is a collaborative, commercially focused business with a shared ambition to improve how travellers discover and book accommodation.
We move quickly, test new ideas and use data to make better decisions. You’ll have the opportunity to take genuine ownership of your work, influence our paid media strategy and help hotel partners generate more profitable direct bookings.
We celebrate individuality and champion inclusion. If you don’t meet every requirement but believe you could make a strong contribution, we still encourage you to apply. We welcome applicants of all backgrounds, regardless of race, religion, gender identity, sexual orientation, age, disability or culture.
Ready to help travellers find their next stay—and help hotels secure more direct bookings? We’d love to hear from you.
